Anybody have any input on this pistol? I've been calling around trying to find one and can't seem to find anybody who has one in stock, or anyone who can tell me when they expect to receive them.
 
Outdoor Junction in Cookeville had the .40 in stock the other day. I looked at it and the Springfield XDS .45

I was impressed with both, but am really wanting the XDS.
 
yea really want to get my hands on one before I buy it, I'll have to look at that xds haven't checked it out yet. I've only heard good things about it, so I hope I hear the same here to reassure the itch.

Gun fills great... got to hold one that came in on order for a customer at my local FFL. It was a 9mm.

If you like the Taurus they also have a slim. I have one in 9mm and it's a pretty good gun. I did a review on it a while back on here. Search Taurus Slim and you can probably find it. Last time I looked you could get them from Davidsons. Price is right around $300 unless it has changed with one mag.
 
I have the 9mm Shield. Have had it for a couple months now. I have shot a half dozen different brands of ammo with different bullet weights without even one malfunction. I even tried to make it jam by limp wristing it but it just keeps running. I never thought the day would come than ANY gun would replace my Glock for everyday carry but I was wrong. This Shield has proven itself with total dependability and accuracy enough for me to leave the Glocks in the safe. At least for summer carry. My ONLY gripe with the Shield is that Smith has not put spare mags on the market yet. I like to keep a half dozen or so on hand but cannot find them yet.
