Just wanted to hear your thoughts on it.Its has a 4in barrel and is chambered in 357mag.My brother in laws Dad has one for sale.Has the rose wood grips,he says.I've not seen it,said he has had it for like 10 years.Think it could still be in good shape?He said it was.I'll see it tues probly.

Good gun IMO. Don't know if I would shoot many full blown 357's through it but it should be a good gun.

It is the stainless steel version of the M-19 blue 357 Smith . It is not as strong as the M-27 357 built on the large frame and will shoot very accurately till it shoots lose . 38 loads are best in the smaller frame guns .

Great gun, and without a doubt my favorite revolver short of a Colt Python. I have had a 66 for 10 years, and I got it used. I have probably fired at least 1000 .357s through it and at least twice that many 38s. It still locks up and shoots as good as the day I bought it. Dont be afraid to shoot .357s out of it, just make a point to practice with 38s and shoot 357s in moderation with it and it will outlast you.

troopers in tennessee carried it in the 80's i think i just sold one with pachmeyer grips on gun broker for 425.00

I have a model 13 love it,shoot .38s and .357's out of it no problems.

If it has the wood grips, they are probably: Goncalo alves

I have them on one of my S&W's, my 686 SS military mag. in .357.

That was some good info FullDraw!But i did infact see the pistol in person today,and it was a long way from in good shape...It has some very bad chips/cracks in the grips.Had some holster wear too.That is what you get for going on a brothers uncles dads cousin's word!LOL...
