What a day this woul;d be to be on either the holler or the hill. Probably not catch may fish but I believe you could catch a goodun or two.

I'd be working a windy point in about 15 feet of water with a crafish imitator bumping the bottom or a brown, hair fly, quarter ounce, with a U-2 split tail in orange/brown.

Be some miserable but could be a day to remember.

went to the hill Monday, caught 4 over smallmouth, few more small ones, couple spots, one 4 lb or so laregemouth. No pics, raining to hard! :) Bass pro rain gear, not wet at all, worth the money.

I was thinking the same thing yesterday when I left work for lunch. Today wouldn't be bad either, but there was more wind yesterday which is good for the brown ones in the day time on the Hill.

Caught my first smallies on Sunday on Current River in MO. Had one a little over 18" and one 12 1/2". Caught 2 more under 12. They now have me hooked! That has to be the most fun fish I have ever caught. Always heard they put up a good fight, but good gracious did they hit like a freight train too!

Lots on the current but hard to catch a big one unless you live there and can fish it on just the right days. Sure a fun river to fish.

We floated it and camped in the Nat. Forest and bowhunted for four days. Had a ball and killed two deer. Caught a few fish, too.

They have it set up now to where you can't keep them during the spawn. Also have an 18" limit on their trophy areas, 12" everywhere else. I'm heading up their for turkey season this next year, gonna see how they look swole up.
