SCENIC CITY FISHING PHOTO DUMP - SCF Guides blanketed the Tennessee River Riday as Capt. Richard Simms, Capt. Sam Simons and Capt. Joe Jellison escorted Leighton Gibens and five of his family and friends in pursuit of some bass and catfish. Jack's Bait & Tackle Shop shiners did the trick at sunrise on some great smallmouth and other species. We often get a good smallmouth bite in June or July with the shad fry start dispersing. The catfishing was tough but when you've got three dedicated guides, along with six hardcore clients willing to "do the work," the results are pretty darned impressive. This isn't all the fish they caught but the best ones that were "picture worthy." The Gibens crew drove all the way from Tupelo, Miss. to fish with us.
