Smallmouth in Pigeon Forge / Sevierville?

Heading up in a couple of weeks for daughters softball tourney. Would like to take a couple of spinning rods and fish around the Pigeon Forge / Sevierville area. I have always heard the smallie fishing was pretty good - any hints on best lures?

theres a little river called the "Little Pigeon" use live minners no sinker! you will catch them every cast anywhere from 1-4 pounds

If the river is low enough to fish, tie on a Rebel crawfish plug and just hold on.

Top water. Buzzbaits,Zara puppies, tiny torpedo. That's all you need. Fish right in front of the Wilderness.

I guess I will be trying that at the end of this month too. I have never fished it, been up there alot just never had a change to fish.
