Smallmouth avoidin me!

I've been on Loudon, Telico, and up the Little river and I just can't seem to get one hooked up! It seems like I keep reeling in the average 2 lb largemouth you would see this time of year, but not seen the first smallmouth. I've fished the mouth of little river where it opens into loudon by 129(alcoa highway), and a few spots in walland. On Loudon I've fished the bluffs out in the channel by Smokey Landing and Ish Creek (prader flats). Does anybody have any pointers? I've been throwing carolina pumpkin craws, red shad big dead ringers n such... any tips are appreciated...

Me and JW-06 caught 12 smallmouth and a Hybrid Saturday night under the full moon, with the biggest going aroung 4 pounds. Most were caught on a 1/2 oz. jig n pig. We caught a couple before dark on a DD22 and a couple on spinnerbaits bumbing the bottom on 20 feet of water.

I'll try some small lures n see where that takes me. Another problem I have is the depth finder on the boat ain't workin so I have to almost guess where I'm fishin. I have a lake topo map but it doesn' t show brush piles or humps at all
