Smaller carry gun choices

Ive got a Gen 4 glock 22 FDE in .40 S&W that i carry on our lease but I want something more concealable for every day carry. Ive got several handguns lined up that im thinking about getting but the problem is choosing which one.

Kahr compact stainless .380 or 9mm
Ruger LC9 or .380
Glock 42 .380
Glock 26-30 size frame
Keltec .380

What I really want is a small frame kimber but they are way outside my price range.

What do yall conceal carry?

I looked at several of the mid size autos when I started carrying a year or so back. I did NOT want to go down to the wimpy 380 so got a Kahr PM40 which is a really small gun - weighs only 17 ounces - and is barely over an inch wide. On paper and even when I 1st got it, I was happy with it. But when hot weather came and I was forced to wear only a thin single layer shirt, all of a sudden that pistol was too big for me to conceal comfortably.

I ended up with a "wimpy 380". :) For hot weather carry they are hard to beat. You need something tiny because if you don't carry it, it's no good. And if it becomes a burden because you can't conceal it during hot weather, you'll likely start leaving it at home. For the money, the Ruger LCP is hard to beat. Mine eats anything I put in it.

As soon as the temperature drops though, you can bet the LCP goes in the dresser drawer and the Kahr 40S&W comes with me.

Kahr PM9 is the way to go. Mine is loaded with 127 gr +P+. Never had an issue with the functionality of the pistol and you don't even know it's on you. Just make sure you have a quality holster and you are good to go.

I bought two Ruger LC9's and two of their 380's about 3 years ago, maybe 2?

Anyhow, they all run flawless and they are thin, small, easy to carry and accurate. The 9 is a little bigger but I think the 380's kick more because they are smaller and lighter.

I just got my Shield, so far I love it. Ive put about 500 rounds through it so far, I can shoot it as well as most larger framed guns, and so far it is 100% reliable.

My go-to edc gun is a S&W 642. Fits just fine in the front pants pocket and I love the reliability of a revolver.

I have Glock 42 and a Bersa Thunder,(both 380's) IMO, My Glock is more comfortable, concealable, and shoots better than the Bersa. In fact, I let my wife carry and shoot my Glock.... Afterwards, I had to buy her one so I could get mine back.

Taurus PT709. Is a good "happy medium" size, 9mm instead of .380, and it's trigger was MUCH more comfortable to me than the Ruger LC9, which is a better overall gun otherwise IMO

I like my XD Subcompact 9mm. There are smaller choices, but I like this one.

That 42 is one sweet shooting 380.
