Food Plots Small pond construction

Got started on making a small pond near one of my food plots . I love my lil Deere 4200. I've got it about 6 ft deep . Maybe it'll hold water. If it doesn't, any suggestions on what to lay in it to start holding ?

Clay is what we always use. Pack it very,very,good. Bentonite works sometimes but not always. Water will not go through good packed clay.
