Since rifle opener I could have killed almost every buck I've seen and several fawns but I can't get a decent shot at a doe.

I haven't got a shot at one in the past couple weeks mostly cause I picked a bad tree and didn't get a clear shot... and of course the only one that would have given me a shot smelled me

When you decide for sure that you are going to drop the 1st doe that comes along, they somehow know it and vanish. :) Back when we only had certain days to shoot does it always amazed me how they would know. Right up to that time you saw does every single day............

I hear ya. I've hunted 8 days in KY without a shot at a doe. Tons of bucks though.
