All right, who can't help but doze off in the tree often. I think just about every morning I doze off at least 15 mins or so. The critters wake me up, especially the sound of a deer coming. But it sure is another good reason to wear a harness.

When I hunted from a tree stand didn't doze much until I bought a tree lounge,I could not stay awake in that thing.Only kept it one season.LOL
I fall asleep in a $40 lock on and an old, uncomfortable climber. Long as I can keep my head rested somewhere I can fall asleep. Lol

I do it purposefully when I get drowsy. I have a Summit Titan that is super comfortable and a good harness. It's a good way to prolong one's time in the stand and get a little energy boost.

I have always napped into ol man and feel fairly safe when I am tired or the sun hits me and I get warm. Since I bought the Summit last year from GNB I sat several times Daylight to dark and I could take a good hour nap about mid day like I was in my recliner ha.

When I had my summit I would nap all the time. I usually get out way before daylight and after I got everything setup I'd sleep till daylight. Now that I've went to mostly lock ons I can't. They just ain't as comfortable. And if you don't have a foot rest on your summit I highly recommend them. It makes the sit that much more comfortable

I have always done it. Not proud of it, but since we're confessing, the first year I started wearing a harness I dozed off in a lock-on stand and dangled there for several seconds before my brain caught up to what had happened. Scary feeling.

I CANT sleep on stand. I am always on point if Im in the stand. I've shot many deer that I never heard coming.
6, 7, 8 hr or all day sits and you are "always on point"??

I will give myself a break to eat a bite or get a drink, but set times for those breaks. Its kind of like I set goals for myself, like make it 4 hours with out taking a break. then do it agin. I do my best to stay as focused and still as possible for as long as possible and it pays off. It is mentally tough. If Im in the woods, Im there to hunt and thats what I do, hunt.

I do later in the season I try not to early season because I'm so excited to get back in the woods. I have fell asleep in the old stands like the early 90 stand (death traps) back when safety belts wasn't nothing but a strap around your waste and thank god for at least that much I might not have been here today

I have more than once. Human nature. It will be a very rare deer hunter that has never done it.

I will be 44 by the time season starts and can say I have never fallen asleep on the stand. I must confess Im a little scared of heights, I think this has a little something to do with it

I really dont dozed off in the stand in the mornings maybe a 5min nap but that's it......the afternoon hunts I take a few short naps until the last hour of the then I'm on watch for good

sounds too much like work

I sleep better in a my Summit Goliath than I do in bed. I can sleep pretty good in a loc-on also. Something about being 25 ft up with the wind in my face. I'm not out there to kill my next meal. I'm there to get get away from work and what other little drama that I may have going on in my life.

More like meditation :D

Crap! I'd fall out if I went to sleep! :o I'm alert for the most part, but I do long blinks from time to time. :tired:

I don't. I don't know if it's the up in the air part or what. There have been a couple mornings in a ground blind where I kept nodding off though.

I will if we are on a draw hunt where we get 2 to 3 straight days of hunting. A couple years ago we were on our last morning hunt and I think I was asleep from the time I got everything settled in the tree until 930. Sometimes you can't help it.

I definitely have dozed off during the years on the stand but generally speaking I do not sleep in the stand. Im not big on napping anyway whether its in my tree stand or in my living room. Just not in my blood. However, if Im doing an all-day sit, which is maybe one or two times a year then I will get a little tired about mid-day and maybe shut the ole eyes! Its funny because I got buddies that probably doze off every time in the stand almost. They do the same in their own house too.. take naps all the time!

I sleep very well in my summit! I have done it many times. I have gotten to the point that I will get set up before daylight, or early in the afternoon and take an intentional nap while the woods settle down around me. I usually wake up about shooting light and an very refreshed. In the afternoon I might sleep a little longer, but I am with awake and refreshed for the best hours of the evening. I have killed several deer that woke me up
