The ZX is a great boat but since your in the mood of test driving boats I would strongly suggest taking a look at a Phoenix. Performance and overall layout of the Phoenix is amazing which is hard to come as a pair in a bass boat. There is no wasted space in the Phoenix what so ever.

The only problem i have with my skeeter is speed. 20' boat with a 200 HPDI, will run about 65 in hte hottest part of the summer, fully loaded, two people, and livewells full. I have been looking at the 721 Phoenix and they run 78 with same setup. 21' boat with a 250 Merc.

Skeeters are good boats, have you looked at Bass Cats? Yamaha engines, great re-sale and quality boat. Course what do I know I run a Stratos :D . Love my Yamahammer though!!

Skeeter is a fine boat just a lil pricey for what you get! Yamaha makes a great engine as well!
I also agree the Phoenix boats have the best layout available inside, from a fishing standpoint NO space is wasted whatsoever!

I was very impressed with the layout of the Phoenix boat that was on display at a tourney I fished at Dale Hollow a couple years back. The only guy I know who fishes one loves it. From what I was told Phoenix took over Bumble Bee, which were always a good boat.

You got a fine boat in that Skeeter.

Talking about the Phenix, their resale is looking good. Look
over on bass boat central and you will see the used ones are
still real high. I fished out of one in a PAA this year and
it's the 2nd best riding boat I've ever been in after the Champion 210. It was a 921.

I am buying a new boat but can't make up my mind. I don't care about speed. As long as I can hit 70mph I am good. Found a Z9
brand new for $8,000 under blue book. Legends are what I am
hung up on but dang they are high. I am so torn, lol.

Anyways enjoy your Skeeter Silverfox you got a good one. One of
my fishing buddies has that same setup and it is great.Rock
solid fishing platform.

I'm not a speed demon either. About 50-55 is as fast as I like to ride. I've read with the Skeeter 50 is going to be your best MPG so that's what I'm looking for along with stability. Since my back injury my balance is crap. I would have at least one close call per trip in my other boat. I hope to end that streak.

Good luck on the boat search.

Just got my new ZX20 w/250 sho a couple weeks ago. What a ride. I'm seeing 75.8 mph loaded with full tanks and me. Don't think you will be sorry about your purchase.

One has a 200, the other has a 250. That's not the same set up. I like the looks of the Phoenix, but never been in one.

From what I m reading the ZX 225 and the ZX 20 are the same boat. Suppose to be ready tomorrow. Now to cut the garage door out and install a bigger one so it will fit inside. That should be fun. I need a 9 foot door and I have an 8.

skeeter is a very nice boat rode in one at Guntersville BFL in feb.Water was rough due to wind.Had a yamaha SHO ran great.seem to handle good.
