That's me above, I used Charmin that day when it was needed. I carry it in a sandwich bag to keep it dry in my back pocket. Most important tool in my arsenal to kill bucks. Or does.

So do you get tired of the advertising push surrounding a big game animals these days? I do. When I see, read or hear that a hunter used ABC binoculars or DEF ammo or a GHJ rifle with KLM scope with a 125 grain NOP bullet shooting off XYZ shooting sticks, field dressing the animal with a QRS knife (sheath included) after the animal walked under a VUR feeder and while wearing a RAP camo pattern with LON hunting apparel, while using CHT scent blocker wash and wearing TAG deodorant inside a CRP blind using a HOT flashlight and baitiing with non-GMO corn after using BIG antler growth pellets in September (LOL) it just makes me want to (fill in the blank here) and do something else.

I'm one who has nver worried about wearing orange while deer hunting, I'd probably wear orange if I were a bow hunter. I bet the average bow hunter would kill as many deer wearing orange as whatever camo pattern they think they need to wear. Try it sometime, let me know how many deer spot you wearing orange versus camo..........
 
Nice deer congrats .

I wear solid orange shirts during deer season even on my own property and I am exempt from the orange requirement as a tree farmer or land owner or whatever they want to call us now days . I just not feel safe once the smoke pole wielding idiots come out !

On public land hunts you will find me in solid orange tops with woodland orange pants . I am taking no chances with those idiots .

Pig hunting is maybe the only time I scale back on the orange as much as legally possible !

I hear what your saying about the product enforcements but these guys gotta respect their sponsors to pay for their shows so I try and tune it out . Some show host have a way of putting nails on a chalk board with it and others not so
Much . For instance Pigman and Shockley I hardly notice when they slip it in while others I can almost change the channel when they do it !

As far as wearing orange I do so because it's the law and in part because of the safety factor. As far as camo I think as long as you're still you could wear an island print shirt along with pink pants and a clown mask. It befuddles me thinking of all the camo patterns of clothing available only to be covered up with insulated clothing.

I guess if you're into the money making aspect of hunting then advertisements pay the bills but they do go overboard on mentioning everything involved in the hunt. I don't recall ever seeing a hunting program that influenced me to run out there and buy a particular product.

Last but not least, there are 3 things I don't hunt without. Rifle or bow, binoculars, and toilet paper. Charmin is the go to at home but for field use I carry a few paper towels. Bounty... the quicker picker upper, lol.
