Sika Deer in West TN

There is a post in the general forum about a sika deer being spotted in Jackson Tn. There are even pictures. What is the law regarding exotics? If that sika deer or some other non-native big game species escaped a game farm walked under someone's tree stand, is it legal to shoot?
