Sighting in help

I've not shot a muzzle loader in about 15 years. Then I was shooting a TC New Englander..

I've now got a TC Impact and I plan on using Blackhorn with Barnes Spitfires in 250 gr. I'm thinking of using 85-90 grams of powder and keep my shots at 100-125 yards. If I sight in at 100 yards, where will my shots be at say 50 yards? Just trying to understand the trajectory.

Using that recipe I'd say 1" high at 50 yards should put you close to dead on at 100 yards. But only shooting at paper will tell you for sure. Make sure you use a hot primer for the Blackhorn 209 powder. And if your Impact has a tight bore as most T/C muzzleloaders do I'd recommend shooting the T-EZ Spit-Fires. They load much easier. Also the Barnes MZ bullets have an insert that gives load and trajectory info.

I bought Federal 209A primers and the TEZ bullets. I find it nuts that I had to buy 1000 primers, fortunately, they were only $31?

Thats gunna be a MONSTER load. I think you meant grains. 90 grams is 1388.91 grains

Don't exceed 100 "grains" of Blackhorn. Also the BH209 powder likes a firmly packed load. I use CCI Magnum primers and Winchester 209 primers.
