Sighting in at 25 yds

I'd sight in like with most any other rifle. First I'd zero at 25, then shoot at 100, making elevation changes as needed and desired. Then, go back to 25 to shoot another group. Measure and record how much the bullet is off of zero, and you know what to do if your scope ever gets bumped or you need to rezero. I've got to do this with my new TC Impact very soon.

I usually get it on paper at 25 then fine tune it at 50. leaving it about 1.5" high at 50 so I still have decent ballistics past 100 if that shot ever came. most of the time it doesnt though.

I usually get mine an inch high at 25 yards and then shoot it at 50 and 100. I can then adjust at a 100 if I need to.

The above is a good trajectory calculator. You'll need sight height, bullet weight and BC, and velocity. If you are shooting a XTP bullet the BC is around .146 or so. With that amount of powder I'd guess 1700fps. Sight height is approximately 1.5" for a scope and .5" for iron sights. You can play with the calculator plugging in different values.

This will be useful as guide but real time at the range at the distances you may be shooting is, of course, the best.

I've always sighted my ML at 25 yards. Then usually check after I'm done at 100 yards.
