I have one of the 20 dollar ones from wal-mart,doesn't take any recoil out of the equation but sure does help shoot very steady!I've heard the caldwell lead sled causes guns to crack their stock.

I have the 20 dollar one from walmart too. It also works well for me.

I use a Caldwell Lead Sled. I do not weight it down to the point there is no recoil,so no damage is done.
Best to let the gun rebound a bit not to be damaged with zero recoil.

It's a good fully adustable rest,that is well made.
Easy and quick between shots with good consistancy.

A Caldwell sled can be used to allow enough recoil not to harm anything.
Observe how the gun mfg's test their own products.
Caldwell is an Industry standard.

i never use vise for shooting

u need to have a form of recoil
