I was given one of these Red Dots. I put it on Winchester 94 30/30. Shot high soon as I put it on expectable. But I've now bottomed out the red dot with zero turns to go lower. Still shooting 6 inches high. We're only talking 25 yards to the target. It's Mounted where the rear sight use to be. And as low of a mount possible. Not even 1/2 inch high up off the barrel. Now what can a man do. I don't see any options maybe someone else can school me.

It shoots high 6 inches with the red dot bottomed out on clicks. Can't go any lower. And that's what I need. If I shim it I will be going higher won't it.

Did they give it to you because it had problems?

You either have something wrong with how its mounted or the sight is bad. I would try to figure out which before shimming anything. This is not a long range rifle and it should not be doing this at 25 yards.

Can you post pictures of your mount?

Sightmark's Warranty looks pretty sketchy, but if you have the original receipt, you might be able to get it fixed. (If the sight has a problem)
