In my quest for a .40 I ran across the Sig P250 .40 subcompact. Found out my neighbor had one and although it doesn't have a manual safety like some of the M&P's the double action trigger is fairly stout about like a revolver. So what's the word on them? Anybody got any firsthand experience with them? Neighbor loves his but looking for more opinions. If there's something else I should check out other than Glock and XD feel free to throw it out there.

Believe it or not, I've never even shot a Sig. I would be interested in them, but I don't know a single person who owns one. Never had the opportunity to check them out other than just holding one at a store somewhere.

I've never got my hands on the M&P Shield either, but am curious about them. I went to 6 different shops (3 in Lebanon, 1 in Franklin, 1 in Nashville, 1 in Mt Juliet) this week and none of them had them.

The P250 has the smoothest double action trigger pull of anything I have ever played with bar none. I have ordered and sold several at our store with complete satisfaction!!

Thanks. Neighbor said i could shoot his anytime. He showed it to me yesterday and the trigger was very smooth. He has the compact and subcompact.

Nyper they had a few shields down here and one followed me home. Much smaller than my full frame M&P, but dwarfs the body guard.

I wish I had never sold my Bodyguard 380. The smallest carry gun I have now is a G26 but it's a little thicker than I prefer.

My "want list" far exceeds my budget. :)

I have a p250 in 9mm and it is a great gun. The trigger is smooth and crisp. I have about 750 rounds of various ammo through mine including a few different types of FMJ and hollow point. Never a FTF or FTE.DOA is a great safe carry weapon.

Also have a p229 and a p239. Can't beat a Sig IMHO. Excellent weapons.

Get the shield, it's a fine weapon. I wouldn't buy a polymer sig, I know they've had plenty of trouble with those specifically
