Shtf ammo question

What is a good ammo to buy in bulk for a 223. There are tons of choices out there. Where is a good place to buy from? What do you guys recommend? Any info appreciated? Do you go fmj or hollow point or what? Spell it out in simple terms for me.

Any ammo is better than no ammo. Buy what you can when you can. FMJ is normally the cheapest and a whole lot of Germans, Koreans, Vietnamese and Allah Akbars can attest to it.

Hard to beat Widener's. The IMI 855 ammo is some of the best out there, some say it's better than American made and I don't disagree with them.

IMI M193 is great stuff also if you don't want the steel core stuff. Them Israelis know how to make some ammo.

Most of mine is 55 gr. FMJ of various brands. I like to get the XM193 when I can get it. I have recently got some of the PMC X-TAC 62 gr. steel core stuff but I haven't got to the range with it yet. I usually order from AIM in Ohio.

As others have said,any ammo is better than nothing,I think the steel cased ammo is cheap enough to stock pile for a SHTF scenario.But I really don't like to shoot steel cased stuff,but I guess if thats all you got,then its a whole lot better than nothing..
