remington 742 30-06 that belonged to my dad. killed my first deer with this gun years ago.

I've got one just like it that I killed my first deer with. Dad gave it to me also. Haven't hunted with it in years.

Currently using L-R, Marlin 35Rem, Rem Model Seven 7mm-08, Savage 10 308, AR15 in 6.8 SPCII. The 308 is going in the morning.

Ruger Mark II .270. Boyds replacement stock that is for right handed bolts but left handed shooters(I'm left eye dominant). Stock has been glassbedded and custom checkered. Leupold VariX III 3.5x10. Lastly, muzzlebrake. A deer killing machine.

If you want to know, I had the break out in when my son was 10 because he thought it kicked too much?

Win Model 94 in 32 Special with a 2.5x long eye relief Leupold atop. Bought it used and put the scope on it. This will be one of those guns that gets passed down to my son's one day.

At one time everything I owned had Leupold scopes on them. Now over half has Sightron big sky's on them. Get a lot for your money. Just bought another 3.5-10 yesterday.

I'm going to handicap myself this year and give this guy a try.
9lbs and 2x scope

Should work just fine. They killed enemies in WWII and Korea just fine. I've never hunted with mine, yet....... Is yours a SA, Win., or what?

Springfield from CMP.
This was final two groups at the range today (100yds). The reticle is definitely difficult to work with, but will work just fine out to 150, maybe 200yds.
