Haven't hunted much this year. Thinking about going in the morning to a farm Greg and I hunt that has no gates to deal with. Farmers didn't cut corn until late, so deer, in theory, should be eating the pickings. If I was to shoot a deer, then I would have to start calling and locate someone to recover the deer for me, which isn't easy. Being dependent on others stinks

Greg is my faithful hunting buddy. If it wasn't for him, I probably would have quit years ago. My other buddies have health issues and can't help.

Wished you were near Hamilton county cause I'd tell you shoot all the deer you wanted and I'd gladly come drag them out for ya. What area are you in? Maybe someone has a boy on Christmas break that could be useful during some downtime to come help.

They cut the corn on the farm across the street from me a month ago. And deer have been hammering it every day.

I would go. Deer have been hammering cut corn fields around here the last few weeks. If you were closer, I'd bring help to get one out.
