These two trees are loaded. Last year I had to cut half the branches off due to a fungus so I am surprised on how well they are doing this year. If you look close you can see all the little pears.

A question for those in the know: Should I pluck the young fruit before it matures?

I have a tree that's about 8-9ft tall that I set out 2 years ago when it was in a pot. I'm guessung it's probably a 5 year old tree. It has set about a dozen fruit but i don't know that the limbs are strong enough yet to hold the load. Last year it set 6-8 and I plucked them all when they were about the size of a gumball.

I would have thought is would still be focusing growth on roots...what to do?
