First of all guns are too high.
New shotguns are outrageous.

I have wanted a browning gold turkey gun for a few years now but they don't make it no more so I was thinking about the silver.

Thinking I want a GOOD automatic shotgun.
What would be your favorites?

Rem 1100 did fine for me on my Saturday dove hunt, when I held up my end, anyway!

Another excellent auto is the Beretta 390. I think they updated it to a 391 a few years ago, but if you found a good used one I'm pretty sure you would be pleased with it. I don't know about now, but 10 years or so ago most sporting clays shooters that didn't use over/unders were carrying the 390's - very reliable and great pointing guns.

Beretta 391... hands down for an automatic. They do not even recommend a full cleaning until after 5000 rounds..

Call me plain, but I LOVE the Remington 11-87 Sportsman 3" 12ga. Now that they have rereleased it in the classic wood, it is even better.

I was wanting a turkey gun, but pretty much changed my mind and stick with my rattletrap for turkey and get me a good auto shotgun for dove and other assorted items.

Possibly throw in a duck hunt every once in a while.
