Shotgun / Ammo ?

I have an old Winchester model 1200 pump 2 3/4 chamber. Does anyone know if its ok to shoot 4 shot high brass in this gun ?

Just decided to use our oldest sons newer shotgun that chambers all shells. I just dont want to take a chance until we find out for sure. Our youngest son is getting ready to take a walk and see if he can shoot and kill a beaver.

Shouldn't be a problem. I would not hesitate to shoot four shot out of any shotgun, unless it had Damascus barrels or something wrong with it.

Are the shells standard 2 3/4" high brass shells with #4 lead shot? If so, the size shot doesn't make any difference. The model 1200 is a modern gun that can handle any 2 3/4" shell with the possible exception of steel shot. Your shoulder will suffer more than the gun with those shells. :)

Yes 257W glad to hear that. I got this gun new when I was a kid about 34 years ago. I just wanted to be safe with my son using it and I couldnt remember.
