Ok guys, I'm not much of a duck hunter (more of a crow shooter) but I got a fancy new shotgun that I need to get my money's worth out of. My creek has a good population of woodies and I'm planning on taking advantage of the early season this coming weekend. It will be jump shooting at fairly close range. I'm thinking no.6 would fit the bill? What say ye?

6 shot will work. 4's might give you a little more range and less pellets in the meat to break a tooth on. I would suggest to check your pattern as well. Good luck! Woods are a blast.

And Good luck. Don't forget your Fed duck stamp, you can get at post office. Gotta have it even if you're hunting as a landowner.

Yeah, I'll pick one up this week. That part kills me, haven't had to buy any kind of permit in years!
