Shooting Sticks?

I have found shooting rails on ladder stands to be of little help to me steadying my smokepole or rifle. I'm 6'5" and the rails on most stands I've hunted seem made for the average 5'10" guy. I've thought about getting some of the Big Game shooting rails that are separate from the stand so I can position them a little higher so as to fit my body. I've also thought about getting some shooting sticks for the same reason.

Does anyone else use shooting sticks out of their stand? Have they helped?

Cant help you with this one. Would think anything is better then nothing ,

My lock ons have shooting rails. For me they are a hassle getting in and out so I took them off. Tried last yr to use shooting sticks in my lockons and was even worse off.
