Shoot or don’t shoot

Had 6-8 birds gobbling across property line 100 yards with hens odds where against me with the hens an a cross fence for them to cross so I shot.hopefully didn't screw up future hunting,not another gobble after shot

I've shot yotes and had birds in front of me 30 mins later. Doesn't seem to bother them.

Personally, I don't shoot them while hunting, unless one happens by while I'm walking out. The impact of killing one coyote is negligible at best, and for me, it's not worth the risk of spooking turkeys that may be nearby.

well when I'm turkey hunting, and Mr coyote comes cruising through, we switch gears and now it's coyote hunting... pretty awesome having an interchangeable trigger finger

i accidentally fired my only shell at a 'yote a few years back. dang thing stalked me twice one morning, and finally got within 10 feet of me. i didn't like his attitude as much as he liked my calling, lol. long walk back to the jeep for another shell...

Shot one coming out this afternoon. Will gladly kill one any chance I get. I just have a strong strong dislike for coyotes. Will shoot it or them any chance given.

I've said it before and Ill say it again. Shoot them all, and shoot them often. The reasoning behind this is at a minimum each coyote takes at least 1 fawn, 2 turkey, 3 squirrels, 2 chipmunks, and 1 slow moving rabbit each year. I'd imagine those numbers are low. I grew up in a world (WV) without coyotes until they appeared in the mid '90s when trapping and coon hunting was driven down by fur prices and the government handing out food stamps keeping people from finding their own supper....I want to make America Coyote Free Again. Put a real bounty on them and deer and turkey numbers will rise. This BS theory that coyotes are a vital part of the ecosystem is crap. I grew up without them and deer, turkey, grouse, red and grey fox were doing much better.

actually, i had three other shells in my vest, but they were 12 gauge instead of 10.

I normally let them go if I'm in the middle of a turkey hunt. But nothing was gobbling this morning and I needed to get to work anyway
