Shipping a rifle from TN

Been a member here for a few years, and just wondering if you guys can ship a rifle to a FFL in another State? Seems like all the guns sales here are FTF. Not trying to be negative, just trying to understand TN laws. Thanks in advance.

it's not TN laws that apply. It's ATF you have to comply with...

That's what I thought Wiley, but wanted to make sure there wasn't an obscure TN State law that prohibited it. Thanks for the reply.

If I ship a gun I use local sporting goods store with an FFL. No way in this day and time, legal or not, am I shipping a gun and NOT going through an FFL.

For long guns:
You can sell face to face or ship door to door within the same state.
If you ship out of state, you can ship from your house to their FFL. You cannot ship from door to door across state lines.

For handguns:
You can sell face to face, but any transaction that involves shipping must be FFL to FFL.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I am well aware of the federal laws that require shipping to an FFL, and have sold many rifles and handguns and have always shipped to an FFL. I'm fairly new here, and it just seems that most gun sales on this site will only do a FTF sale and was just wondering if TN had a law that I wasn't aware of.
