She's back

Not exactly who I was looking for on my first set of pics but,, glad to she she has made it another year. Kids have named her Hoppy. She will always get a pass. Last year had a fawn on her side.

No clue. Just really surprised she didn't become coyote dinner. Get around pretty well. See her in 3 different places around here.

I've seen bucks and does like that. They learn to compensate. I've seen 3 legged bucks after does during the rut that never missed a stride.

They can get along pretty dang good with three legs . First year I hunting Giles there was a giant doe killed that had three legs and the dude that run the farm said she had to be 5 or 6 years old , dang I bet she weighed about 150 # .

She will have very little trouble doing most anything she wants, matter of fact at a walk is about the only time you will likely be able to identify her while in a group of deer at a distance. We had a doe tear a front leg off in a fence one year (have pic of the leg in the fence somewhere here) and she was seen routinely on our farm for the next 2 years raising fawns and acting as normal as any deer on the place.

Had one at our old lease 20yrs ago when I was in elementary school that I shot off accidentally. We saw her for 3yrs after and always let her walk.
