Shady Plot Pics

Below are some pics of a Shady Plot Area form a lease we just left in Southwest GA's Stewart Co.

The plot was put in this past Sept. Bio-Logics "HOT SPOT" and was over seeded in mid Oct with some left over clovers "Crimson" and "White Dutch". This was the second planting of this plot area with the Hot Spot but it was saddly the frist time we were able to see how it turned out this time of year and get pics of it.The past two years it has looked good in Oct into early Nov.

This spot looks the same now as it does into late Nov,speaking of Tree Foilage and Shade. ;)

Thought I would pass this along here as an option in case you guys have a shady area you want to plant as something to consider.

All that is needed there is a leaf blower,. you could get 10 times the growth if the leaves were removed. The forage is fighting to get out from underneath the bed of leaves.

You remember you aked me about the sub-clover, last year I wasnt able to find a side discharge disc mower like I normally use(Our roads are exactly wide enough for two runs with a 6 foot mower, and we normally blow it to the side of the road.) so I decided I would try something else, enter my bag attached lawn mower! This worked great, as i believe it not only blew the leaves away that were on top of the plot, It sucked the leaves up through the plot as well.
