Serious question Bass or Crappie

I have been trying to decide if I wanna fight the winds tomorrow and I can do it all I want but I am off work so I am pretty sure I'm gonna end up going despite the 10-15 with gusts of 25+.

Been hankering to bass fish with the video game.
Crappie are finicky as everyone knows.
Weather is gonna be pretty cool tonight and tomorrow night.

If you had no preference, just wanted to catch something, which would you go after tomorrow?

Crappie. But that's just me. Bass bore me. Can't help it. Catfish would come in second if I just wanted to catch something.

I always caught alot of big bass in March. Crappie in April. Thats me though. Everyone is different.

super windy day, if I had to decide between bass and crappie, it would be bass.

Now for me on Priest I would be chasing hybrids.

probably both. find the banks that the wind is blowing to. the wind will blow the bait in that direction.

If I HAD to fish then I'd load up the truck and either go to Tellico or Hiwassee to trout fish and not fight the boat. Lol

Blowing 25 with water temps in the low to mid 50's.... I would knock out some honey do's, tie some crappie rigs or load some shotgun shells.

Honestly...probably neither. I'd wait for less windy conditions, but that's just me.

When's are bluegills NOT biting?

Grab a fly rod and a little size 14 yellow popper with white rubber legs, and you'll get sick of catchin'em any day of the year.

That's my fallback anytime I'm fishing for bass or something else and they aren't biting. Throw that popper, and the skunk gets off the boat in no time flat.

BTW, if you want to entertain a kid or a rank beginner, put one of those yellow poppers on a cane pole with about 8-10' of light line on it and let them flip it around. Chance of success is near 100%. You probably won't have time to fish yourself, because you'll be too busy taking their fish off the hook.
