Smokeless Sending one off

For those that had your smokeless in hand how did you mail off your barrel? Were you able to just mail it off thru usps without restrictions. Hoping to order me a gun first of the week and getting with bestill when it comes in.

All barrels I have mailed was through USPS. If it is a receiver it will have to go UPS and u will have to tell them you are mailing a FFL item

Something I learned from experience is insure the barrel for the price it will cost to buy the gun and then some. Usps lost my barrel for 2 weeks when i sent it to Jeff and I only insured for 200$...i was nervous but they found it.

how much extra did that cost you. I would possibly do something in the $5-600 range if it's not crazy expensive. Also, did y'all use a tube type container.

It's about 20$ total to ship it with 1000 insurance. I think it's like 15 to ship it normally. Give or take a few bucks.

Sent a barrel off through USPS. Should of been delivered Oct 21 but they lost it and found it yesterday. I insured it for $300. Atrocious service trying to find it, except for one employee at a local post office. Although it should of been back to me and ready to hunt with this weekend. I'm just glad they found it and delivered it. Good luck.

may try to find some small bubble wrap and wrap her up good. Hoping to order the gun Monday. Checked with the lgs and he's supposed to check back with me. I don't like the store itself but the guy I dealt with is great. If he gets close to what I can order online I'll give my business

Just tell them its sporting goods. Dont mention guns. I get a ton of guns through mail all time.

It dont matter if its ups, usps. Or fed x. Only time your recirver has to go to ffl is when you purchase from a ffl. If you send your recirver to gunmaker they can send it back to you.

I found a tube a barrel had come in back in the spring. The lug made it a tight fit but I got it in there. Ended up tying a string to it to help get it out. Had some styrofoam filled up the ends. Got it taped up best I could and ready to drop off. Kinda getting excited if I can round up my supplies before season ends. Looking to break in a Mauser this fall as well.
