Semi Custom 223AI CZ527

Gunsmith finished up my semi custom CZ527 today, been looking forward to getting this one back for quite some time. This rifle was extremely accurate from the factory using hand loaded 55gr bullets but I was wanting a little more.

I had it setup specifically for the 75gr AMAX/ELD-M, however the ogive profile of the 53gr VMAX will allow it to work well also and will by my varmint bullet.

CZ527 Action
PacNor 3-groove 8 twist barrel finished at 23" (0.062" freebore)
Tuned CZ trigger, set trigger set at 14 oz
Pillar and Glass Bedded
Cerakoted Graphite Black

Be very interested in ELD performance.

Going to step up my 223 and Nosler does not have a round in that weight that I would use for hunting.

You will really like the .223AI. I had one built using a Borden Alpine action and a 22" Rock 5R barrel with a 1/8 twist. With 26.2 gr of RL-15 behind a 75 AMAX, it gives me 2940 fps.

On a different note, I just picked up a 1/8 twist Tikka 22-250. I can honestly say that I'm not that impressed with published velocities in it with a 75 AMAX compared to the efficiency of the .223AI.
