I was going to wait till the season was over, but I'm bored at the new job so here goes.

This is going to sound like a personal add, it is in a way. I'm looking for hunting buddies. I miss the comraderie I had in Wisconsin. There's absolutely no one at my new job that hunts, and they all actually think its gross and cruel. I had hopes of finding someone here to met and find others through.

Here's what I'm looking for, a group of hunters, the number doesn't really matter, with land to hunt within a 90 minute drive of Hendersonville. I don't think I want to join a big club that packs people onto small properties for alot of money, that I've been warned about. But I'm not against a well run and managed club. It can be QDM or "brown it's down", I don't mind either as long as the deer to support the plan there. But am hoping out there there is a small group of guys that need 1 more to help with costs, be an extra set of hands, don't mind helping drag deer and is just as happy for them as if he shot it himself, doesn't mind and even likes cooking the evening meal after a day's hunt.

Here's what I bring, I'll pay my fair share, be it lease costs, food plot materials, if we camp or theres a place to stay there, food costs, ect. I am able to dedicate 1 weekend a month to property work and more time as we ramp up into the season. I can bring my own stands, blinds and cameras. I am VERY respectful of the land and rules that are made. I actually think the out of season work is almost as much fun as the actual hunt. I miss setting a weekend aside and everyone getting together and planning stand placement for everyone and then seeing how it works out during the season.

A bit about me, I just moved down from Wisconsin in October. I was born and raised in a small town on my grandparents dairy farm. I hunted early in my life but as a teenager I stopped in pursuit of girls, sports and other good times. I joined the army and spent 10 years active duty as a cavalry scout. I did all the cool stuff, airborne, air assault, ect, ect. I am married and have been with my wife for 18 years, she does understand my hunting addiction and is mostly okay with it. I started hunting again about 5 years ago. I am primarily a bow hunter but don't mind shooting them with my .308 either. I want, but have never shot a "wall hanger", some day as I'm a fairly patient man. I know this is probably too much information but I want to make sure that we all get along. I had such a great thing in Wisconsin, I'm just hoping to find it again here in Tennessee.

I know this is probably alot to ask for and alot of other guys are looking for the same, but I'm just tossing my hat into the ring for those elusive spots.

Good post. I can't offer you a lease but you may be able to join me and my brother for a hunt or two starting in the spring in turkey season. I do know a few leases that may want a guy like you. Most of my properties are too small to hunt effectively with multiple hunters. Have a few good "yankee" friends from Chippewa Falls, WI. Guess another Wisconsinite would be ok!! LOL! PM me sometime. My bro lives in Gallatin and I'm near White House.

Thanks, PM sent.

I am looking forward to seeing what comes of this. This year I've had access to a small property and realized while relaxing and fun I miss the partnership and teamwork I had in Wisconsin.
