Thicker the better this late in the season on my places, seeing lots of deer hunting off the edge of thickits in the woods. Deer are hitting fields here only after dark gotta get in there and kill em in the woods

Seeing just as many in fields both mornings and afternoons. They are hitting the standing corn pretty hard. In the afternoons, they have been a little closer to dark.

Been hunting edges of thickets/hardwoods, inside thickets, and checking fields on my way out sometimes. I've seen several deer in the cedars last week and seen a couple in cut grass field just outside the cedars a few days ago. But for the most part the deer have been evading me.

Saw 7 in the woods today. I've been fortunate that I've saw deer every trip out so far. Even had a new buck show up in a scrape yesterday.

I planted fields this year and I expected to see deer in the fields. What I have seen is that it has patterned the deer traveling around the fields. I think the deer are using the fields at night. I hunt about 60 yards into the woods around most of them and hunt the hardwoods around it where they travel. Have seen deer all year skirting the edges of the fields in thicker prep areas.

Saw a big 4-point chasing a doe back and forth in front of me yesterday morning. They were running in hardwoods just outside a pine plantation. I'm thinking any doe that didn't get bred a month ago is coming into estrus now.
