We shot a few friday afternoon. Seen several gar too. Shot mainly buffs around structure with some under overhanging trees in the shade. I've found that when it gets hot like this you have two options. One is to stay as close to deep water as you can or two, find some shoals that have some swift, shallow, cool water. We will wear'em out on the french broad wading when it gets hot. Early morning is a good time to find'em on the flats, but I've found they usually head to deep water when the sun gets up. I'm talking about commons and buffs. Don't know nothing about the asians or the bigheads.
