Seed storage ?

Can you store rape and turnip seed for extended time periods (next fall)? If so can it be kept at room temp or does it need to be froze?

I have allways been told to freeze it for max extended life.

I store all my seed in the freezer. They will keep indefinatly. Planted some rape seed this year I had for 4 years and it done great. There is a place in the Antartica that stores seeds from all over the world in a gigantic freezer. Saw it on the discovery channel.

I usually plant in a day or so after removing. I have not had any problems with moisture hurting the seed but that was a concern of mine as well.
