I think Ty Simpson is the best in the country from what I've seen. Joey is certainly up there, but Simpson has a leadership ability that Joey doesn't at this point. Ty Simpson is saving Debours job.

Aguilar is really good. I do think Ty is the best qb in the league but Aguilar is right there. If Alabama had any kind of running game that offense would be really tough.

Josh Pate went into great Detail about how ALABAMA is coaching and after hearing him out I feel better about the way ALABAMA is playing. Take a listen and see if you don't agree.I thought this thread was going to be about Ty Simpson.

Alabama will be fine because they have a bunch of players that know how to play football. They're still playing with Saban's players. Even if DeBoer ends up being a horrible coach, they'll still be a good ball team for the next few seasons. If he does well, they'll continue to be a playoff caliber team for years to come.
I usta think that, the tide would be good a year or two then fade away but the transfer thing has upended that idea. It levels out programs and has ended the building of long term winning. Look at Tennessee, in the past we'd be stuck with Nico or playing a freshman, instead because of the transfer we've got the best qb in the league and the most potent offense. Next year MSU could or even Fla. Now you just go buy the wins.
That said I still think the transfer deal and nil isn't good for college ball but everybody is playing( or cheating) by the same rules so

Pre-Season Aguilar was picked in last place in the SEC QB's,just shows how much the media knows,not a clue!!
As long as a program has a stable of boosters with deep pockets, they should be competitive. Frankly I'm surprised the Texas teams are struggling so badly considering the oil money in those parts. Stands to reason. Arch Manning road the pine behind Quinn Ewers all this time. And lets face it Quinn turned out to be over hyped and over rated. There was a reason he went 7th round 231st pick in the NFL. I am sure Arch will flourish in the NFL though. All those Manning Boys seem to be late bloomers.

Im going against the grain here but I'd take the W over the stat! I'm also going to say it takes more than a quarterback to win.
Anybody would take a win over stats, but the topic was best QB. Not best team. It's a team game and you can't pin a loss on one player.

As much as I hate to compliment a bammer I've been pretty impressed watching Ty Simpson the last few weeks. He was very efficient in the UT game. Made very good decisions and good throws on time.
I love Aguilar there's not many I'd trade him for and certainly not the one we did "trade" for him.
The problem in any head to head comparison with Aguilar is the other guy gets to play against UT's defense which is unfortunately like Swiss cheese this year…

That's a good point. Can you imagine Joey's numbers if he were playing against our D?
But, Simpson has definitely shown to be top level. He has shined in some pressure situations, and has earned his recognition. I question why he didn't replace Milroe last year.
I just wish we had taken some deep shots in the Bama game. I dont think we attempted any.
Simpson is a great quarterback. He's a coaches kid from the great state of Tennessee . I'd bet he will be great on Sundays too. It's ashamed a great player from Tennessee is helping the red algae be successful.
At one time he woulda had a hard time back in Tennessee in a kidding way most of the time and not so much some of the time but those days are in the past. It's about money nowadays.

I question that as well. You could see the receivers getting frustrated with Milroe but they never made the change.
Simpson might not have been this good last year but it's hard to believe he wasn't better than Milroe.

I like Joey, I think he is what Vols football needed this year. Vols could have been in a season long tailspin. Going forward, Vols need the good 3-4yr starter at QB, it would another stabilizing factor.
