SE TN WMA’s

I've noticed something about the south east portion of our states wmas…. There's not a wma that follows the statewide season down here. There's south Cherokee but it's split up for the bear seasons. Most of the other wmas are archery only and have odd season dates… from my understanding, when ever the bear hunts are on in Cherokee you are not supposed to be there deer hunting. Man talk about missing prime time to setup on some big ones..

I like being able to sit on the line and hunt both seasons.

I was moving a stand this morning and put it right on the line and was trying to explain to my wife that to the left you can't shoot next weekend but to the right its either sex, but the following weekend its either sex with muzzleloader to the right and buck only with muzzleloader or gun to the left.

I don't really remember but probably about 20ish years ago give or take a couple. The dog hunts were the most frustrating because you could be legally hunting on the Ocoee side but you became a poacher if the dogs crossed the river onto the Tellico side and vise versus.
