Would like to try using an SD Card Reader vs. having to pull cards and take back to the home computer to view.

Seems to be several different option available and the reviews are all over the board.

I am not looking for anything elaborate. Just would like to be able to view cards in the field. Does anyone have any suggestions that wold not break the bank.

I got a cheap one off Amazon ($10)... put the card in and plug into ur phone. Pulls all the pics up right there.

I got a hand held one with a screen and all. It's pretty bad you can't see the pictures and it's very slow. The ones I've bought for my phone never seem to work either. I just bring my laptop in my back pack when I go now.

I have one from Bone View I bought a few years ago that plugs into your smart phone. Has always worked well for me. I think it was around $30.

It plugs directly into my samsung phone and tablet. I can view them there and then, or as I do, move them all over to the phone or tablet and replace the empty card into the cameras.

Get one to plug into your phone. You can look at, delete and save pics.

Or just get extra memory cards. Just swap them out.....and you don't have to go home, view, then go back out and put the card back in the camera.

I got one on Amazon for $10 and download right to my iPhone. Asks if you want to delete after you've downloaded them all...click yes....wipes the sd card and is ready to be put back in your camera.

I just carry a digital camera to the woods. It's very easy to look at the pics on, and fits into my pocket.

Would this work for you?

If you have an iphone or an ipad I recommend spending the money and getting the Apple brand card reader. I have went through many off brands that work then stop. The apple reader is so simple to use nothing required to be downloaded just plug and play.

I also agree this is what I use only my phone doesn't have enough what ever it is to use so I just carry my I-Pad and can really see the pictures. I did buy a card reader but don't like to use it, rather use the I-Pad.

Duck27, I do have to jiggle my off brand Amazon one pretty often and it often takes a few tries and minutes to get it to work right. Is this the Apple one you got?

You got me to thinking I never use the card reader I have and should sell it. It is a Stealth Cam model STC-CRV43. I am going to put it in the classifieds.
