got a box of 80 gr Berger 22 cal bullets to try in the R15,,it said on the box 8 or faster and mine is a 9,,but I had to try them witha BC of .470 or something and if you can find IMR 4008 they will go 2750 fps,,that is 180 gr 308 ballistics from25 grs of powder and an 80 gr bullet,

makes a 7 twist 22-250 sound real good..

anyway pictures after while but at 30 yards they was going completely sideways..

save them 96 for later..

LOL

I have a Model 7 6mm Rem I would Love to make a custom rig from if it wasnt my wifes.

a 220 Swift or standard 22-250 with a 7 twist would be awesome to 500 yards easy with these new bullets, maybe farther than that.

I think they make a 90 gr also,

Shilen barrels are much smoother. Douglas are good but the break in takes longer. I have both, although I have not shot the shilen yet. You will pay about 25 bucks more for a shilen of the same contour. They are both air gauged, but the shilen are hand lapped
