Screw torque ???

I'm considering purchasing an after market stock to replace the beautiful walnut stock on a rem 700 bdl. I want to keep walnut stock and put it back in rifle after My boys use it for juvenile years. Question is do I need to buy one of these expensive torque screw drivers for torquing the screws when seating the barrel to stock? Also, what is torque setting for Rem 700?
 
Walnut stock without pillars would be 40-45 lbs or so. A synthetic stock with a bedding block, 55-65 lbs based on where it shoots most accurately.
 
I belive TNRifleman's numbers are right but make sure you're using inch/lbs not foot/pounds quite a bit of difference there. You'll strip the threads off the bolts if you use ft/lbs.

I agree. Very easy to use and you set the screws at exactly the correct weight. I haven't dented a scope tube since I started using a torque wrench. Before that, my gorilla paws would over tighten and dent tubes. I even broke an internal lens on a scope one time due to the position of the ring and my idiocy in over-tightening.
