Scraper? skinner?

I scooped up a bucket full of rocks with my tractor from a small spring that leads into my pond and dumped them in a ditch that was eroding away beside my house.. a day or so later my 5 yr old daughter was playing in the ditch picking out neat rocks and laying them on a little play table she had.. a week or so later she was showing me her finds and here lays this tool..LOL.. I said thats a pretty neat rock.. can I have it..LOL... she was proud to give it to me.. I'm guessing a scraper of maybe something used to skin a deer??

I believe it's a scraper. I have 4 or 5 very similar that I've found in a small area of 1 field in Hardin County. I've picked up several arrowheads in that same 75 foot radius of that 2 acre field. We never find anything anywhere else in that field.

Very nice, I have one just like it I found very near the Elk River near Tims Ford Dam.

Nice find! For sure used to work hides....... and Im sure many other uses. I like these kinds of finds. Just imagine what they did with it, many hours spent with that tool no doubt.
