Scouting LBL during youth hunt

Was planning on going to LBL and doing a little hiking/scouting this weekend. It will be the only weekend I have open to go before our gun hunt in Nov. On the way home from work it just dawned on me it the youth hunt this weekend. I'm second guessing on going now. But then again I kinda doubt there will be anyone back where we hunt. What say you...

The youth hunt at lbl doesnt get near the participation the adult hunt gets. I would never wanna walk around and mess a kids hunt up, but you should be able to drive around and see where the trucks are parked. Most likely, they wont be very far from the vehicle. If there is a truck parked in your spot, might be a great opportunity to look at some new dirt. Whatever you decide to do, I would certainly wear orange.

I think 750 total for the whole TN side. Yea I don't want to mess someones hunt up. Where we hunt is alittle over 1.5 miles off of the road. Don't really think anyone will be back in there. Heck I never see anyone during the gun hunts. I guess I will think it over tomorrow and decide. If I do go I will have my orange on for sure. And might wait until Sunday to go, most youths will be burned out by 9am Sunday anyway.

I would not scout during the hunt. Sucks it is only weekend you have available, but I would not to even remotely take a chance on ruining someone's hunt. Yes, if I had a juvenile, we would be 1 to 1-1/2 miles or so in the woods.. That is where I hunt, 1.47 miles as the crow flies from where I park, as far as I can get from anything. Well used to, last time there, 2 years ago, I walked all the in to see nothing but wild hogs and they were everywhere. We have the first hunt this year and I really want to scout and look for a different area to hunt, but probably won't get to.

It really doesn't matter how "remote" an area you want to scout.
You have to walk thru other areas to get there,
and often hunters come in from a different road or trail
in ending up the same places.

I would not scout during the hunt.

X3 I have only hunted there 2 times. I live 2+ hours away. I just topo/aerial scout and the day before the hunt, I go look at the areas i have picked usually in close proximity to one another. I then lock my climber to a tree once i pick it and walk back to camp. Set up my stuff and roll into town for a greasy sonic burger and then go back to camp to be bored and wait for bed time.
