A couple of years ago, the Volkswagen Group bought rights to the Scout name, intending to re-launch Scout Motors as an American-based manufacturer of electric pickups and SUVs. The new company has finally revealed a concept version of its first SUV, the Scout Traveler, and our first impression is that it's a fine homage to the original International-Harvester Scout, one that will make good on the original's promise of adventure, but with a lot more speed and refinement—and using far less gas (none).
