Believe it or not I've seen a buck with one of those. I had my tripod set up in a bean field before it was harvested and had a couple of does and a buck feed across it towards my stand. The buck was actually a small racked 11 pointer with the odd point growing straight up from the center of his rack. I watched him through the scope at less than 50 yards and thought about taking him because of how unusual he was but ended up giving him a pass. Only one I've ever seen like that.
I killed one on the Tejon Ranch. It had one bladed antler on the left side. Not even a nub, nothing but hair, where the other antler should have grown. The antler was 14 inches long, thin part of blade facing forward and the point was sharp.
This is the day my Truck and I nearly rolled off the mountain so it kind of sticks in my mind.
