Scopes and mounting them

So I'm wondering if anybody has any information or tips on getting a scope dead parallel to the bore
I understand but the distance is set at a rimfire competition and this question may actually bleed over into another area of shooting

I know you can maybe put a level on the receiver and then a level on top of the scope but that's still doesn't guarantee at least in my eyes that the scope will be dead parallel to the core

I may be splitting hairs to be honest with you but it would seem if the scope was canted in any way but specifically slightly turned left or turned right That's a trajectory and the point of impact would be different side to side at any distance other than where you center it

For example if the scope was slightly clockwise from the rear then obviously at any point other than where you have it zeroed the point of impact would be higher or lower and your adjustments would reflect that
I mean do they even make scopes that accurate is this something I even need to think about my job involves fairly technical stuff so that's where my head always goes
I understand there are some barrels that are tapered so putting a level on the barrel wouldn't always work It may never work

Anyway if there's some reading material or a site someone knows about pertaining to this I'd much appreciate that info

I use this wheeler kit and then I have a bubble level mounted on my scope. I then set my rifle down in my rest and check it against a plumb bob made out of thin nylon cord I have hanging at 125yds.

I will say after I started using the kit pictured I've never had one not be true on the plumb line.

It's great to hear that
I just had been thinking I can buy the nicest scope but unless I get it on there straight I'm kind of wasting money on something better than one that would just hold zero

Being square to the action really helps save ammo and time because if it's canted your not working on a vertical and horizontal axis as it then becomes a diagonal, cuz you know, angles and stuff, lol.

Our matches are times so it's nice to go X amount of clicks when needed and be rolling on a card.
