Well after I got the Bushnell DOA 250 and Nikon 3x9x40 BDC side by side at dusk dark. very very little difference.I went with the Bushnell because its got lines instead of circles as yardage marks the lines showed a little better to me it was a hard discission.

They messed my order up on the Bushnell DOA 250 so just got me a Nikon 3x9x40BDC
i personally think that Nikon is much better made overall.

Bushnell glass may appear clearer in the showroom but get them out in the woods and you will see a difference. The tubes on the Nikons are much stronger IMHO and can withstand the a use. If you were mounting it on a .223 or .243 it would not matter so much but on .50 calls they take a beating.

Good luck!

I had them at home mounted on the gun.I own a Nikon 4x12 prostaff on my .270 both are great scopes just my opinion there is only very little different in price both have same Warranty so I'll stick with what I can see better with

Got em both, the Nikon is on my 30-06 and the Bushnell is on my wife's .270. I like the bushnells better but thought I would give the Nikon a shot. Not really liking the circles but can live with it. Say what you want about Bushnell but the same one stayed on the same .270 for about 9 years and the only adjustment ever made to it was when load was changed. Its been thru more than one rain storm, snowed on, froze on the outside, dropped more than once, etc

I took it out today and shot it @25yds just to get it on paper didnt have a bore site first shot was 4in low 3in right made adj. 2nd was 2in.left 3rd 4th was touching each other. now to go to range and zero in @100 and see how it does on out. i think its going to do just fine ill post after maybe few days.

Awesome man, ya you'll have to let me know how close the elevation marks are to the powder and bullet charts. Oh and also did u get the medium or tall single piece scope mount? The charts I found were contradicting so I had bought a medium hoping it would work and if not possible shave ore remove the front lens cover
