Don't thinkthe lows will work. Tried some low steel weavers and they were too low. Its a 42mm lens.

Just so y'all know, I got some Burris steel mediums. I had to move the scope fully forward and there's about enough room to slide 3 ro so sheets of paper between the forwrd lenxe and the barrel! Should I go to highs?

Do you have to compensate the way you hold your rifle due to pushing your scope so far forward? If you do, I would get the higher rings.

I do have to leazn my head little more forward than normal. Its not overly ockward though. If it shoots ok should I still go up? Also will my forward end of scope impact the barrel when fired?

As long as your eye comes to the scope naturally I wouldn't worry about it.
