Scope Recomendation

Guys, im in the process of getting my Carbon 15 set up with a scope for coyote hunting primaraly with the possibilty of maybe taking a doe with it this year. I was thinking in shot range from 50 - 250 yds, maybe further. Do you think I should go with something like a 4x12-50 for these ranges? How good are the BDC reticles for this?

I have a Nikon Prostaff 3x9x40 with the BDC reticle on my yote gun and its plenty. 350 yards in its dead.

I dont care for the nikon BDC set up, rather have a regular tactical reticle or even mill dot, to me the open hole leaves room for a misplaced shot.

I'm using Burris 2x7x35 Fullfields on my ARs. The scopes are a great value and are a bit smaller which fits the rifle better in my view. PH

if you are calling coyotes, you have weigh too much scope if you go 4-12x50. if you are shooting them on site crossing huge cropfields you are good. PH's recommendation is perfect
